PRP and a youthful skin

Saturday, December 26th, 2009

The good news that science always comes up with something new. Now we have PRP-a product that comes right of a person’s own blood and is injected either with fat harvested from one’s own fat or on its own. PRP is really plasma concentrate that has increased growth factor in it. Your own growth factor but in concentrated form. It is believed that if injected into the face or body during surgery or even in an office visit it makes the skin much smoother and younger looking. It has been used for about 10 years in orthopedics. When a sports person has a tendon injury, they get injected with PRP and their recovery is speedier and better.  Now we apply same technology to plastic surgery with dramatic results.  We are also working on harvesting stem cells from your own fat and that may help rejenerate some of the fat cells lost in critical areas like wrinkles or deep lines or wrinkled skin.  So tune in to what is new. Call our office for consultation and we can see if you are a candidate for PRP.

Stocks go down and the stakes go up

Tuesday, March 3rd, 2009

When stocks go down many people loose their jobs and must hit the pavement looking for new opportunities. The competition for the few new jobs that are available becomes steeper. One not only must have a great resume, great enthusiasm, the willingness to work hard, honesty and competence, one must also present well. Some of the frown lines must be ironed out with Botox, and some of the deep nasolabial folds should be filled with some juviderm, restalyne or fat. Perhaps the complexion could be improved with a fraxel treatment or a good microdermabrasion. Age spots, and pigment unevenness can also be removed by fraxel or a good skin regimen. Of course if one has more time for recovery and also can afford it plastic surgery could take care of heavy eyelids, drooping jowls, too large and saggy breasts, and too large thighs. To look your best, one must find the best treatments that work for that person. Of course, hair treatments and a good cut as well as a well fitting suit or dress is also very helpful. It may not need to be very expensive, just appropriate and good fitting. So stop by our office for a consultation and help in making you the best looking candidate for any job at this difficult time.

Your appliances and You

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

I bet your appliances are younger than you. I wonder why you changed them. I think your car is probably younger than you. What about the paint on your walls or the rugs on the floor. Your computer? furniture, sheets, dishes??? You see, all need maintenance and some are even discarded and new ones brought in. Why? they do not look good any more and they do not work as well as the new ones. Well, we cannot do this to people and ourselves. We cannot throw our old selves out and get new bodies. However, we can REJUVENATE whatever we can. So, we get facelifts, and breastlifts, and breast augmentations for deflated breasts after childbirth and we get tummytucks, we get liposuction, butt lifts, and even labia reduction and vagina tightening.  Why-cause that is as close to new as we can get. If we are not embarrassed to do it to our dishwashers and washing machines and cars why are we embarrassed to do it to ourselves? Why we are not embarrassed to paint our walls yet we wonder if we should dye our gray hair? what is the difference between painting our walls which are old and cracking and painting our hair which are old and gray? We fill cracks in our bathtub edges or wood furniture, what about the cracks we see on our bodies? So get out the facial fillers like juviderm, restylene, fat, radiesse and whatever else you can find and fill out the cracks. You iron your sheets, what about ironing your wrinkles with botox or fraxel lasers. You often fix your old plumbing especially if it is loose. Well tighten up the vagina and loose labia and whatever else has loosened up in your body.

You see, our body is a machine that runs for 80-90 years if we are lucky. Surely, nothing else runs that long, and at least nothing else runs that long without maintenance and repair. So be kind to your body just like you are kind to your appliances, and cars and other possessions- MAINTAIN it, polish it, and keep it youthful and happy.

mirror mirror

Women often judge each other on their looks, their dress, their home, their weight. Envy and competition is quite common. Women are much tougher on each other than men are. You may have visited a plastic surgeon to have a small procedure. A man may not notice, another woman always will. Women can almost sniff changes in each other and often compete with each other in maintaining their looks. Therefore, one must go to a plastic surgeon who understands all that. Any change must be very suttle so even the other woman will not notice. It must fit your face and body and blend in well. Yet, it must raise eyebrows and comments like -you look great- have you done anything lately? Thus leaving it up to your discretion if you want to say something. Yet you must take care to look good to yourself. Feeling great about your body not only builds confidence but also increases libido. Women and libido is very tricky problem. Most however, is tied into how a woman feels about herself. As the years go by, maintenance is necessary. No machine runs for 80 years without repairs and maintenance. Therefore, one must lift, tuck and polish whatever ages and sags. It is just part of good upkeep. If one does it in small doses over time one will never look overdone. Look at Sophia Loren. You will forever guess what has she done. But you know she must have done something to look as good as she does at the age of 75 yo. You can too look great if you choose the right procedures with the right Plastic Surgeon. Your quality of life depends on it.
