When a person is stressed one sees it in their face. The frown lines come out and the forehead starts to crinkle. The circles around the eyes become darker and the puffs under eyes become more noticeable. The face looks more drawn and the complexion becomes uneven. Some people even breakout in pimples. If this is what is happening to you then you let others see your insecurity and worry. When you go to interview for a job you look anxious. When you are on a date you look older and less fun. The freshness seems to be gone. It is very important not to allow oneself to get to that state. It does not always mean doing surgery. However, surgery does help. For example fixing the puffs of the lower eyelids is a simple procedure and wallah you look so much more rested. It only takes 1/2 hr and few days hiding behind dark sunglasses. Alternatively one can get Botox injections to the lower eyelids to at least take some of the crinkles away. Same is true of the frown lines and forehead lines. As far as the complexion well-maybe a Fraxel treatment may help or at least a good regimen of skin care. However, we must not neglect those deep furrows running from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. They look like troughs full of sorrow and anxiety. Those can be flattened by various injectable like Restylene, Radiesse, or Juviderm plus. They can also be filled with Alloderm or your own fat. Whatever, you prefer. However, you must upkeep. People fix their kitchens, paint their apartments and upkeep their appliances. You are probably older than your dishwasher. So how about some maintenance? Call our office and speak with Anita. It is amazing what you can learn.
