A diagnoses of cancer of other diseases effecting the breasts can be devastating. Our breasts are a big part of our womanhood. Today, however, there are more options than ever when if comes to breast reconstruction. Breast reconstruction options on the market today include both surgical and non-surgical, so women today have a number of choices to consider.

On the surgical front, modern surgical technology has made it possible to construct a natural-looking breast after mastectomy. The procedure is commonly begun and sometimes complete immediately following the mastectomy, so that the patient wakes with the reconstruction. Alternatively, reconstruction may begin years after the mastectomy. There are several ways to reconstruct the breast, both with and without implants; your surgeon(s) will work together with you in deciding what option may be best for you.
